These maths basic facts cards are a great way to improve fluency and instant recall of the basic facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Students compete against themselves, trying to beat their previous best score and record their scores on a personal graph for each operation. This activity is designed to be self-marking.
Print an addition grid with the corresponding subtraction grid on the back, or multiplication with division on the back, one for each child. You may choose to laminate these cards for increased durability. There is a choice of color or black and white. Children answer as many algorithms as possible in three minutes. They can keep a record of their progress on the graphs provided. When a child can accurately answer 100 sums in three minutes, they become members of the “100 Club” and receive a certificate. 50 Club certificates are also included.
